Movado watches are among the best known fine Swiss watches in the world. Movado was founded in 1881 by Achille Ditesheim, a 19 year-old entrepreneur. Over the span of three centuries, Movado has progressed to become one of the largest manufacturers of Swiss watches, having earned over 200 international awards for artistry and innovation. In 1947, the Museum Watch was created, featuring an uncluttered dial with a simple gold dot marker at the 12:00 position. Throughout history, Movado has teamed up with artists and designers to create limited edition watches, which today reside in museums, galleries and personal collections.
